"There is no lovelier spot in Reidsville
than our little church; there is no sweeter serenity than within its walls; there is no
ritual so beautiful
as the one it is our privilege to use, and with God's help we'll grow and strengthen,
working ever the coming of His Kingdom upon earth."
Mrs. Manton Oliver,
a member of St. Thomas,
written in 1924. |
The church
building, much beloved by parishioners, is a charming brick English Country Gothic
structure that dates to 1915. Inside the church are exposed beams, wooden pews and
deep red carpet. The nave can comfortably seat 144 worshipers. The choir and
organ are situated at the front of the sanctuary, between a choir rail and the altar
rail. Choir seating can accommodate twenty. The altar is flush to the south
wall. |
