St. Thomas' Episcopal Church Vestry

The Vestry is the governing board of our local church.

The vestry is composed of nine members in good standing with three members being elected each year at the annual parish meeting in November. Members serve for three years and cannot be reelected for one year after their term expires. The senior and junior wardens are elected from within the serving vestry. The senior warden is nominated by the rector and the junior warden by the vestry. Vestry meetings are held every third Monday night. Each vestry member is assigned responsibility for one of the vestry teams. These assignments are usually decided at the annual vestry retreat in January, at which time yearly goals are established. Currently vestry teams include Worship, Outreach, Parish Life, Pastoral Care,, and Christian Education.
